What the path covers
The program moves through the positions and decisions a new student repeatedly meets: mount survival and escapes, guard sweeps and passing, side control, back control, takedowns, submissions, and self-defense. Each lesson contains instruction, drills, positional rounds, and checkpoints so the athlete can take a small objective to class.

How to use a fundamentals curriculum
Choose one lesson that matches your current class, coach assignment, or recurring journal observation. Review the lesson before training. During drilling, work on the objective your coach gives you. In positional rounds, notice where the sequence changes. Log the observation afterward and decide whether to repeat, ask a question, or move on.
Media and source status
The Academy includes 42 technique sections and 48 embedded videos. Media availability and playback are checked, but a playable video is not the same thing as a named qualified review. Jits keeps review and source status visible so athletes can distinguish published material from coach-verified instruction. Confirm safety details and finishing mechanics with your coach.
For instructors
The printable guide arranges the path into an 11-week schedule with 60-minute class plans. It is a starting structure that a coach can adapt to the room, rule set, and students. The guide does not replace the instructor's judgment.
